Amazon prides itself on being “Earth’s Most Customer Centric Company”. I’ll introduce some of the areas in which science is applied to improve customer experiences, and then focus in on an area that I have worked in which exemplifies this: protection the privacy of customer data using algorithmic methods. I’ll finish with some of the things that I think make Amazon a great place to work as a scientist.
