I graduated from Newcastle University in 2021 with a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics and Statistics (MMathStat). In my final year, my research, which has now been submitted for publication, involved using a Bayesian approach to Extreme Value Theory in order to fit a model to threshold exceedances of measured solar flares. I joined the COMPASS CDT in 2021, and my current research interests lie in developing scalable fitting methods for quantile and loss-based GAMs.
