I completed my undergraduate degree at Kenyon College, majoring in Biology and Mathematics. My senior honours thesis used hypervolume methods to compare dimensionless life history strategies across major groups of tetrapods to examine how these traits have evolved in response to different evolutionary pressures. Following graduation, I was a Helen Fellow at the American Museum of Natural History, working in the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation to develop methods for species distribution modelling while teaching programming to high school women. After my fellowship, I worked as a data scientist at Spring Health, a precision mental healthcare start-up.
In my PhD project, I will be using Bayesian decision analysis to support climate adaptation decision-making. This project is supervised by Dr Laura Dawkins, Dr Dan Bernie, and Dr Dennis Prangle.
