Hey there! My name is Mauro, I’m from Verona but studied Mathematics in Southampton, UK. I’m passionate about Basketball, Chess, Partner Dancing, Cooking, and Technology in general. I have a Machine Learning blog
where I post about papers that I have recently read and various topics in Statistics and Machine Learning.
My PhD focuses on developing new representation learning methods such as Normalizing Flows, Variational Autoencoders and Generative Adversarial Networks to improve inference in simulator-based models with application in Population Genetics and Biology. I’m very happy to be supervised by Christophe Andrieu
and Mark Beaumont
