I joined the Compass CDT in September 2022, just after finishing an MSci in maths and computer science at the University of Birmingham. My masters dissertation was on analyzing the fairness and efficiency of different tournament systems, partially through using ideas from multi-armed bandit policies. I also completed an internship at the West Midlands Regional Economic Development Institute (WMREDI).
I’m currently in the first year of my PhD and will be researching deep kernel machines for my mini-projects, supervised by Laurence Aitchison.
