Title: Interactive visualisation in action: towards engaged, critical and reflective human-in-the-loop practices in data science

The session will involve interactive live demos and video demos of a number of software tools from projects where we explored the use of interactive visual analysis methods combined with  computational modelling techniques. The applications will range from cyber security to social sciences, to epidemiological modelling. After the demo session, we will briefly look into how some of these ideas could be implemented more practically in common data analysis mediums such as Jupyter Notebooks and discuss ways of using visualisation more effectively for facilitating richer and more rigorous data science processes.
