Real World Data Science at AstraZeneca
Abstract:
Real World Data and Real World Evidence has been part of medical, clinical, commercial activities for many years. I’ll give an overview of my experience as a Real World Data Scientist at AstraZeneca and some examples of the tools, data, and methods that we use. I’ll talk about some of the challenges of using routinely-collected electronic health record data for generating real world evidence and give an example of an interesting study trying to understand disease progression in chronic kidney disease patients.
